Tottenham will reportedly begin negotiations “in the coming weeks” over a deal to bring Genoa striker Albert Gudmundsson to north London.
Spurs are building a team that could challenge for Premier League title for years to come if they continue to make smart additions.
Ange Postecoglou and Daniel Levy had a great summer with the arrival of Guglielmo Vicario, James Maddison, Micky van de Ven and Brennan Johnson, while Dejan Kulusevski and Pedro Porro turned their successful loan spells into permanent contracts.
With more good luck than failure in the summer transfer window, Tottenham also jumped into the January transfer window with the additions of Radu Dragusin from Genoa for around €30 million, while former Chelsea striker Timo Werner arrived on loan from RB Leipzig.
And Tottenham need to return once in next summer’s transfer window with the latest hypothesis linking them to Genoa striker Gudmundsson.
The Icelandic foreigner has contributed 12 goals and 3 assists in 28 appearances in all Serie A competitions this season and the 26-year-old is of interest to Spurs for his talent.

And now, Italian newspaper Quotidiano Sportivo insists that Tottenham “look at the Icelander with great interest” and that negotiations “could begin in the coming weeks”.
The report adds that negotiations could be “stimulated by those of the winter that brought Dragusin from Genoa to the English capital”, with the Italian market being “increasingly attractive” for Premier League clubs.
In addition to new signings such as Maddison and Van de Ven, the player who has caught the eye this season is Pape Matar Sarr, and former Spurs defender Gallas insists the midfielder suits a world-class talent.
Gallas told Genting Casino: “There’s one player I have to talk about in this game and it’s Pape Sarr. The ball he kicked for James Maddison’s goal is surely incredible. It’s perfect. Oh my God!
“People think it’s easy to do that, but if you look at it again, this center was surely perfect. He put the ball between the two centre-backs and did it with that speed, wow!It was magnificent. It was a world-class delivery.
“Sarr is starting to blossom as a footballer. Everything about his functionality and his role in that first goal was brilliant. He’s a player who has the power to do everything on the field. Offensively, defensively and technically.
“He makes the right decisions and plays with a smart pace. He may not make headlines like some Tottenham players, but other people who understand football know how important Sarr is to Tottenham.
“It’s wonderful to watch his football and he has formed a wonderful partnership with Bissouma in midfield that allows Maddison to play up the pitch. Maddison has the freedom to express himself because he knows he has two players who are very good.
