Tottenham would be interested in signing Arsenal’s Maitland-Niles

It is the idea that several London-based clubs should be interested in Arsenal’s Ainsley Maitland-Niles.

Maitland-Niles is a product of the Arsenal system.

And although the 22-year-old has never been a mainstay of the Gunners’ senior team, he has managed to accumulate a hundred appearances in all competitions.

32 of those appearances took place last season, with Mikel Arteta hiring the right-back during his team’s arrival.

The Spaniard even gave Maitland-Niles a start in the FA Cup final against Chelsea, in which England’s Under-21s national had a forged performance.

However, he is under contract in the Emirates until 2023 and after getting minutes forged with Arteta, the long race on the side of the arsenal has recently been in doubt.

The Telegraph reported earlier this week that Maitland-Niles had been informed that it had been put up for sale to help raise funds for the move, Mikel Arteta reportedly would prefer it to run out of change.

And now, on Sunday, Maitland-Niles is connected with a move towards Arsenal’s rival sour, Tottenham.

According to Sun, the entire London Premier League, with the exception of Chelsea, has expressed interest in signing the flexible defender.

In terms of English fees, it is claimed that the Gunners need s 30 million, possibly they would have to settle for £20 million.

West Ham, Crystal Palace and Fulham are also cited as suitors.
