Tottenham’s next manager: Top Levy’s target will settle for Spurs’ job; He has just won a championship title.

Feyenoord manager Arne Slot is now expected to settle for Tottenham Hotspur’s project if the London club touches him this summer.

The 44-year-old guided the Dutch club to its first name in the Eredivisie since 2017. Now it turns out that Daniel Levy has made it one of his main targets.

Tottenham have not fought for a major trophy for some time and will miss out on Champions League qualification this season. Therefore, it is important that Levy gets his next appointment.

Spurs have been looking for a new permanent manager since Antonio Conte parted ways with the club in April.

Conte’s former assistant Cristian Stellini has since been sacked, with Ryan Mason at the helm until the end of the season.

Julian Nagelsmann was thought of as the leading candidate to take office. But he has now been ruled out of the race, so Levy is contemplating other options.

Slot has been on Levy’s radar. However, reports suggest he is now the president’s first selection to become Tottenham’s next permanent manager.

According to former PSV midfielder Ibrahim Afellay, Slot will most likely settle for Tottenham’s task if presented with the task this summer.

As Feyenoord Pings noted, Afellay said: “If [Tottenham comes for him], you have to be a kid to refuse.

“I’d be surprised if he leaves then. Tottenham Hotspur is a big club, very different from Southampton or Aston Villa.

“At Feyenoord, Slot triumphed to the maximum [by winning the league], he came out more than in it. Do you expect him to triumph in the Champions League final next year?”

It will be a summer of replacement for Tottenham, with Levy tasked with appointing a new manager and director of football. The club’s most sensible goalscorer, Harry Kane, is also strongly linked to a game.

But, it’s right to replace exactly what it is if the Spurs want to fight for trophies again.

Indeed, Kane admitted in an interview that the club’s “values” have been replaced since Mauricio Pochettino left the club in 2019, who, ironically, will take over at Chelsea next season.

Kane said: “I feel like I lost a bit of the values of this club in the last few years. It’s about finding a way to get back to the same page and obviously even with enthusiasts as well. “

Spurs fans expect Slot to be the guy to bring down the club. If, in fact, he becomes their new player this summer.
