Unsworth, who was included in the Giant Club in 2019 to sign up for greats such as Dixie Dean, Alan Ball and Neville Southall, will take on his duties while managing the club’s under-23s.
Unsworth’s additional mandate will allow him to take all the small groups to the senior men’s team in combination with a single control structure, offering a smoother path through the Academy and in the first team.
