GOOD MORNING, FOOTBALL FANS,
SunSport’s Phil Cadden has revealed that Josh King is a shock target for Paris Saint-Germain.
The Bournemouth striker is also wanted by ten Premier League clubs as well as four in Italy – including Rome rivals Lazio and Roma.
SunSport understands the Cherries, who were relegated to the Championship, do not want to sell the 28-year-old for less than £25million.
King would prefer to stay in the Premier League but then his next aim will be to play Champions League football for a club on the continent.
French champions PSG are in next season’s competition and a move to Paris would be appealing for the Norway forward.
Newcastle, Everton and Brighton have registered their interest in King, who has one year left on his Bournemouth contract.
Meanwhile, SunSport’s Alan Nixon has claimed that Watford will sell Ismaila Sarr for a stunning £40million to ease the financial pain of relegation.
The Senegalese winger is being offered to several clubs at the huge fee to create an auction.
We revealed last week that Crystal Palace want Sarr, 22, and they are now willing to buy him even without Wilfried Zaha leaving.
Vicarage Road chiefs have contacted Liverpool and Wolves about Sarr but neither are in a position to bid for him, despite liking the rapid attacker.
And finally, Andrea Pirlo has been named the new Juventus manager after being selected by club president Andrea Agnelli.
The ex-Italian midfielder replaced Maurizio Sarri, who was axed following Juve’s Champions League exit.
JUR THE ONE
Exclusive by Paul Jiggins: Liverpool are eyeing a shock £35million swoop for Bournemouth midfielder David Brooks.
Kop boss Jurgen Klopp has made no secret of his desire to add some much-needed width to his Prem champions next term.
And he is weighing up a raid on the relegated Cherries for Brooks.
The Wales star, 23, seems certain to leave Bournemouth following their relegation.
NO GLOVE LOST
Exclusive by Alan Nixon: Manchester United want Sheffield United to pay all of Dean Henderson’s wages next season.
And as the England hopeful closes in on a new £100,000-a-week contract at Old Trafford — despite interest from Chelsea — that is causing problems for Chris Wilder’s side.
Blades have paid a chunk of the goalkeeper’s contract over the past two seasons — but that was a lot less than his new terms.
The Red Devils may be willing to send Henderson out on loan again next season but want his bumper salary covered.
Old Trafford chiefs are comfortable offering 23-year-old Henderson a lucrative, long-term deal to keep him happy.
But they are now talking tough when it comes to loan deals for him.
KING OF PARIS
Exclusive by Phil Cadden: Josh King is a shock target for Paris Saint-Germain.
King was close to a move to Manchester United in January but a £20million bid was rejected.
SARR SUBJECT
Exclusive by Alan Nixon: Watford will sell Ismaila Sarr for a stunning £40million to ease the financial pain of relegation.
Palace might win the race if the player wants to stay in the Premier League after an exciting but ultimately disappointing debut campaign.
If Watford do not drop the asking price, the Eagles are likely to have a go at signing Brentford’s goalscoring wideman Said Benrahma, who they like the look of, along with fellow Bee Ollie Watkins.
RICE ON TIME
Exclusive by Duncan Wright: Declan Rice may have to be sold by West Ham if they want to bring in several new faces to strengthen their squad.
Chelsea lead the race for England midfielder Rice, 21, with boss Frank Lampard looking to convert him back into a defender to help solve the problem area in his side.
The Hammers insist they have no desire to sell their player of the year but it would be hard to turn down any offers that get close to their £70million valuation.
Manager David Moyes wants to freshen up a squad he led to Premier League survival.
But with money short because of the lack of revenue from empty stadiums, cashing in on their main man might be the only step open to them.
The club have a strong interest in QPR’s £20m-rated attacker Eberechi Eze and Brentford forward Said Benrahma.
LEED THEM ON
Leeds have had their hopes of snaffling Edinson Cavani dashed after he reportedly agreed a move to Benfica.
The Uruguayan striker has agreed to join the Portuguese outfit and will earn £8.1million a year, according to BeIN Sports correspondent Tancredi Palmeri.
Leeds wanted to sign Cavani to fire up their charge into the Premier League after winning the Championship.
But their dreams look to be dead in the water with Cavani opting to move elsewhere after his release by Paris Saint-Germain.
The French champs previously announced his time at the Parc des Princes was up, along with veteran Thiago Silva, and he would be able to leave the club on a free.
Former Napoli man Cavani is set to collect over £155,000 a week to ply his trade at the Estadio Da Luz.
It was previously reported the 33-year-old was close to agreeing a two-year contract with Benfica.
KOUL STORY
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer remains an admirer of Kalidou Koulibaly but are likely to be priced out of a move.
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has insisted the Senegal defender will only be sold if a club matches his £90million valuation.
The Evening Standard claim that Koulibaly’s mega price tag could see Manchester United focus solely on signing top target Jadon Sancho.
ON HIS TAYL
Manchester City starlet Taylor Harwood-Bellis has been identified as an exciting alternative for Leeds if they fail to buy loan hit Ben White from Brighton.
The Championship winners’ boss Marcelo Bielsa could ask his friend, Etihad chief Pep Guardiola, to let him borrow centre-back Harwood-Bellis, 18.
But Leeds are hungry to land White, despite Brighton reportedly rejecting a £22million bid for the 22-year-old this weekend.
White’s solidity was pivotal in Leeds returning to the top flight for the first time in 16 years as he played every minute of the league season.
But Brighton manager Graham Potter believes that such form and consistency now make South Coast-born White a potential regular next term for the Seagulls.
And The Athletic suggest England Under-19 ace Harwood-Bellis has emerged a major back-up option.
JUVE GOT A DEAL
Andrea Pirlo has been named the new Juventus manager after being selected by club president Andrea Agnelli.
The ex-Italian midfielder replaced Maurizio Sarri, who was axed following Juve’s Champions League exit.
Former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino and current Manchester City Pep Guardiola were linked with the role.
But the Serie A king have internally decided to hand the job to managerial novice Pirlo on a two-year contract.
A club statement read: “Today, begins a new chapter of his career in the world of football, as it was said almost a week ago: from Maestro to Mister.
“From today he will be THE coach for people of Juventus, as the club has decided to entrust him with the technical leadership of the First Team, after having already selected him for Juventus Under 23.
“Today’s choice is based on the belief that Pirlo has what it takes to lead from his debut on the bench, an expert and talented squad to pursue new successes.”
WHITE KNIGHT
Leeds have reportedly had an improved £22million bid rejected by Brighton for Ben White.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side were initally pushed back with their £18.5m offer to sign the defender on a permanent deal following his loan spell this season.
Sky Sports claim Brighton are trying to tie White down to fresh terms after knocking back attempts from Leeds to prize him away.
PIR WE GO
Andrea Pirlo is reportedly set to be named the new Juventus manage after being selected by club president Andrea Agnelli.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the ex-Italian midfielder will replace Maurizio Sarri who was axed following Juve’s Champions League exit.
Former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino and current Manchester City Pep Guardiola were linked with the role.
But the Serie A giants have internally decided to hand the job managerial novice Pirlo.
GIFT OF THE GAB
Lille have left Gabriel Magalhaes out of their squad for their friendly game against Dutch side AZ Alkmaar following links concerning a move to Arsenal.
The 22-year-old has impressed in France this season and been heavily linked with a number of top European sides, including the Gunners.
Manchester United, Chelsea, Everton and Napoli have all been rumoured to be interested in a move for the Brazilian defender.
HOT ROD
Arsenal are showing the most interest in wantaway Real Madrid midfielder James Rodriguez, according to reports.
The 29-year-old, along with Gareth Bale, was left out of Zinedine Zidane’s squad for Real’s Champions League second leg encounter with Manchester City.
Spanish outlet AS claim the Gunners are the club most likely to make a move for the Colombian.
Arsenal were among a number of teams linked with Rodriguez last summer but a deal never came to fruition.
Super-agent Jorge Mendes is the man tasked with finding Rodriguez a new club.
Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid are also said to be interested in the 2014 World Cup Golden Boot winner.
The ex-Porto, Monaco and Bayern Munich star has just one year left on his contract at the Bernabeu and could be available for as little as £22million.
BAK AT IT
Tiemoue Bakayoko is reportedly prepared to take a 50 per cent wage cut in order to force through a return to AC Milan.
Yet according to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Frenchman’s desire to seal a permanent move to Italy may be blocked by Chelsea’s steep asking price.
The Blues are said to want £20 million in order to recoup at least half of the £40 million they originally forked out for Bakayoko.
CHERRY PICKED
Bournemouth have appointed Jason Tindall as the club’s new manager on a three-year deal.
The Cherries former assistant succeeded Eddie Howe after he left the Vitality Stadium following their Premier League relegation.
Tindall told afcbTV: “It’s an honour and a privilege to be the manager of such a great football club.
“Given the success of the club over the last 12 years, with Eddie in charge and me by his side, I’m not going to come in and rip everything up and start again. I would be a fool to do that.
“But I’m my own person with my own ideas and I will be looking to implement them as soon as we get back on the training ground.
“I know the Championship is a very tough league but my aim is to get this club back into the Premier League at the first time of asking.
“This is a challenge that I feel I’m ready for and one I’m looking forward to.”
WHATSAPPENING
Jadon Sancho has reportedly joined a Manchester United WhatsApp group – but is still waiting for his transfer paperwork to be delivered.
Speaking on The Transfer Window Podcast, transfer expert Ian McGarry said: “Manchester United are comfortable at this moment in time that they’re not in any competition for the signature of Jadon Sancho.
“Manchester United are comfortable at this moment in time that they’re not in any competition for the signature of Jadon Sancho.
“They don’t believe they’re going to be gazumped by no other club because no other club has expressed the same level of interest.
“They’re also very confident the player wants to come to Old Trafford.
“He has been in constant touch with England international colleagues who currently play for Manchester United and indeed in daily contact with them.
“It’s even believed he’s on a WhatsApp group with some of the Manchester United players as well.
“Therefore United are very comfortable with their position, they believe that Dortmund will come round to the structure that they’ve suggested.”
WILL POWER
Former Arsenal star Paul Merson has hailed the potential signing of Willian as he revealed his shock that Chelsea are prepared to let him leave.
Writing in his column for the Daily Star, he said: “Willian would be an unbelievable signing for Arsenal. I think Willian is a special player who ticks all the boxes. I can’t believe Chelsea are letting him go to be honest.
“I know he’s 31 and wanted a three-year contract but football is all about now, and right now he’s a great player.
“No manager is thinking about what might happen in three or four years’ time.
“They need results now, so it’s no surprise to me Frank Lampard doesn’t want him to go. Arteta won’t be Arsenal manager forever. He needs to win now. Willian can help him do that.”
LONDON CALLING
Ainsley Maitland-Niles is likely to stay in London after being put up for sale by Arsenal – and could even make a switch to local rivals Tottenham.
Within days after being put on the market, every club in London except Chelsea have made their interest known that they could be keen to give him a new home.
That includes Spurs, where boss Jose Mourinho is having to be creative with his own rebuilding plans this summer.
Arsenal were hoping to get as much as £30million for the versatile England under-21 international who was part of the starting line-up at Wembley ahead of the highly-rated Bukayo Saka..
But in reality they may have to settle for around £20m with clubs across the Premier League all feeling the pinch following the coronavirus pandemic.
West Ham, Crystal Palace and newly-promoted Fulham have all shown interest knowing Arsenal boss Arteta would have liked to have kept him at the Emirates but for the need to generate funds.

The decision comes after the Old Lady crashed out in the Champions League quarter-finals after the defeat against Lyon.
Sarri guided Juve to the Serie A title this season.
LEW BEAUTY
Leeds are considering trying to bring former star Lewis Cook back from Bournemouth.
Marcelo Bielsa knows he needs to add to the depth of his options at Elland Road following promotion – and Cook’s experience at the top level could be valuable.
The Cherries need to massively reduce their wage bill while still keeping a squad strong enough to challenge for promotion from the Championship next season.
But they could be open to doing a deal for Cook, 23, who left Leeds four years ago having come through the academy system at the club.
DOR AJAR
Jadon Sancho will cash in regardless of whether his Manchester United transfer goes through – with Borussia Dortmund ready to soften the blow with a mega-money new deal.
The Germans are ready to hand him a new £173,000-a-week contract if United do not complete their pursuit of him by Monday.
That was the deadline Dortmund gave Old Trafford chiefs.
They want the cash to make further signings ahead of their 2020/21 Bundesliga campaign.
United are ready to hand Sancho a five-year £350,000-a-week deal.
They have reportedly agreed to pay Dortmund £60m up front, with a further £48m in add-ons for the 20-year-old England international.

They state that the playmaker is keen to join the Gunners as he pushes for a move back to the Premier League.
Mikel Arteta is believed to be a huge fan of the player, with the Spaniard desperate to sign an attacking midfielder this summer.
BLUES BLOW
Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has claimed that the Blaugrana are working to give Chelsea target Marc-Andre ter Stegen a new contract.
Speaking to beIN SPORTS, he said: “With the current situation, we’ve asked to speak more calmly about it.
“But regardless, his future remains at Barca.
“When the COVID-19 situation is over, we’ll speak with him about a new contract.”
