MORNING, FOOTY FANS
Arsenal’s 2-1 FA Cup win over Chelsea at Wembley dominated the headlines but as ever there were still plenty of transfer rumours doing the rounds.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang refused to commit his future to Arsenal after his double fired them to FA Cup glory.
The star striker scored either side of half-time to help the Gunners come from behind.
But while Arsenal fans will be delighted with their first trophy since Arsene Wenger retired, Aubameyang’s post-match comments may leave them concerned.
Asked if he could tell supporters anything about his future, the Gabonese – who has been linked with Barcelona – said: “Nothing. Just today and the trophy. That’s it.
“I am not thinking about this. I just want to enjoy it with the guys and take the trophy now.
“I think everyone gave their best today and we deserved it. The journey has been long but today we enjoyed it.”
Elsewhere, Everton intend to try their luck with a £15million bid for Bournemouth hitman Joshua King.
The Norwegian is looking to leave the Cherries after their relegation from the Premier League.
And the former Manchester United kid has his sights on Goodison Park.
Toffees boss Carlo Ancelotti is in the market for an extra forward for his shot-shy side and could open the bidding shortly.
Crystal Palace want Ismaila Sarr to fill the boots of Wilfried Zaha — if their talisman is sold this summer.
The Eagles are keen on Watford speedster Sarr, 22, and would smash their record fee for him with a £40million offer.
Sarr was on Palace’s radar a year ago when Hornets splashed out £30m to bring the Senegalese star from French side Rennes.
Ironically their failure to sell Zaha to his admirers 12 months ago cost them that swoop, but this time they will try again.
And finally, Manchester United are weighing up a shock move for Kasper Schmeichel to replace David De Gea as No 1 next season.
Leicester ace Schmeichel is seen as a ready-made option to come in, with De Gea suffering a huge slump in form and loan star Dean Henderson still at rookie level.
Schmeichel, son of Old Trafford legend Peter, still has three years left on his King Power deal.
But the 2016 title winner, 33, would be relatively cheap to buy compared to Atletico Madrid’s highly-rated Jan Oblak, 27, who has a release clause of around £109million.
THE LONG CON
Conor Gallagher could be the latest British whizkid to head to the Bundesliga.
The Chelsea midfielder, 20, has been watched by a whole host of German clubs keen to take him on loan next season.
Schalke head the list of those interested, which also includes Mainz and Bundesliga 2 champions Arminia.
Gallagher has impressed this season while being farmed out to Charlton and then Swansea.
The England Under-21 star hit six goals for the Addicks in the first half of the campaign.
KING OPENING
Everton intend to try their luck with a £15million bid for Bournemouth hitman Joshua King.
The Norwegian is looking to leave the Cherries after their relegation from the Premier League.
And the former Manchester United kid has his sights on Goodison Park.
Toffees boss Carlo Ancelotti is in the market for an extra forward for his shot-shy side and could open the bidding shortly.
King, 28, had a dream return to Old Trafford blocked in the last window.
But should be cleared for an exit as Bournemouth – who parted ways with boss Eddie Howe on Saturday – look to trim the wage bill.
SARR-IOUS BUSINESS
Crystal Palace want Ismaila Sarr to fill the boots of Wilfried Zaha — if their talisman is sold this summer.
The Eagles are keen on Watford speedster Sarr, 22, and would smash their record fee for him with a £40million offer.
Sarr was on Palace’s radar a year ago when Hornets splashed out £30m to bring the Senegalese star from French side Rennes.
Ironically their failure to sell Zaha to his admirers 12 months ago cost them that swoop, but this time they will try again.
Sarr was outstanding despite Watford’s relegation and he will want to stay in the Premier League or go abroad rather than the Championship.
KEEP IT IN THE FAMILY – EXCLUSIVE
Manchester United are weighing up a shock move for Kasper Schmeichel to replace David De Gea as No 1 next season.
SunSport understands United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has doubts over whether Henderson, 23, is ready for the top job, despite a stellar season on loan at Sheffield United.
And the Norwegian can no longer offer his blind support to error-prone De Gea, 29.
…
“However, although the affection and love I have for this football club will always remain, we collectively feel that now is the right time for the club to go in a new direction.
“Bournemouth will always be in my heart, but I firmly believe that now is the right time for the club to have a change.
“I have always ensured that every decision I have ever made as manager has been in the best interests of the club and its supporters, and this is no different.”
ALL OVER
Eddie Howe has left Bournemouth by mutual consent following relegation.
The 42-year-old led the Cherries from League Two to the Premier League but his eight-year stint in charge is now over after dropping back into the Championship.
A statement confirmed the news on Saturday night with Howe penning an open letter to supporters.
The club legend, who has spent a quarter of a century at Bournemouth as both a player and boss, revealed walking away was the toughest decision he has ever had to make.
Howe said: “Having spent a total of 25 years with the club as both a player and a manager this decision – made together with the club – is one of the hardest I’ve ever had to make…
WHAT A DEC
Chelsea target Declan Rice was among those to question Anthony Taylor’s performance in the FA Cup final.
Fans of the Blues were left raging with the referee after a series of decisions went against the Blues in a 2-1 defeat at Wembley.
Several major incidents seemed to go Arsenal’s way, with Mateo Kovacic sent off after an extremely soft second yellow card the most high-profile decision.
Chelsea fans were also outraged by the decision not go to give Chelsea a late foul on the edge of the box – and for Arsenal keeper Emiliano Martinez appearing to handle outside the box.
The stats appeared to back Chelsea’s complaints with the Blues conceding 14 fouls to just two four Arsenal and picking up six bookings to one.

AU DEAR
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang refused to commit his future to Arsenal after his double fired them to FA Cup glory.
The star striker scored either side of half-time to help the Gunners come from behind to win 2-1 at Wembley.
STEPPING NGAK TO MOVE FORWARD
West Ham full-back Jeremy Ngakia is set to drop down a division and join Watford this summer, according to reports.
The teenager burst onto the scene this season, making his Premier League debut under David Moyes.
But having rejected a long-term contract, the Guardian report that Ngakia will link up with the freshly-relegated Hornets for next season.
HAV A GO
Chelsea could finally secure the signing of Kai Havertz TODAY, claimed Bayer Leverkusen manager Peter Bosz.
He told Deutschen Presse-Agentur: “I talk to Kai a lot and try to feel what all this does to him.
“For example, these daily rumours about transfers.
“I keep finding that Kai is handling all of this very well.
“I don’t think he will stop playing at 29 [like Andre Schurrle].
“Yes, I know what he wants to do, but of course I’m not going to give it away, it’s up to him.”
SMALL SWAP
Manchester United could be offered Juventus star Federico Bernardeschi with the Italian giants eager to land Chris Smalling in a summer swap deal.
Roma’s chances of signing the Red Devils centre-back appear to be disappearing with United refusing to drop their £18million price tag for the player.
Reports in Italy claim the Serie A side are still attempting to sign the 30-year-old, but are far from close to sealing a deal with the Old Trafford giants.
Juventus have reportedly been monitoring negotiations over the player between Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side and their Rome-based rivals, with a view to making their own bid.
Calciomercato claim the Serie A champions are rumoured to be uninterested in stumping up £18m for Smalling.
However, they are considering offering United Juve midfielder Bernardeschi as part of a swap deal for the former England star.
BENRAHMA DRAMA
Leeds could be set to battle Chelsea for the signature of Brentford’s star winger Said Benrahma.
Premier League new boys Leeds are reportedly planning to go head-to-head with their old rivals for the Algeria international.
The Bees player, who’s valued around the £25million price mark, has been on target 17 times and provided four assists so far this term.
Benrahma’s knack for playing on the left and right wings reportedly attracted the attention of Frank Lampard’s club this season.
And the player’s versatility has also piqued the interest of Leeds manager Bielsa, who had a public fallout with Lampard over a spygate row during his tenure as Derby coach.
With Brazil veteran Willian’s future still to be decided, Benrahma has been linked with a switch to the Blues, according to the Daily Express.
JUST NOT THAT INTER YOU
Manchester United look set to miss out on transfer target Sandro Tonali with the midfielder to sign for Inter Milan, according to reports.
Brescia’s teenage midfielder – dubbed the new Andrea Pirlo in his homeland for both his playing and hairstyles – has caught the eye of a number of top-class European sides this season.
Italian publication CorSera write how Antonio Conte’s Inter are on the brink of concluding a £31.5million deal.
They even go as far as saying the club are expected to announce the signing on Monday evening.
It will come as a blow to United who had sent scouts to watch the rising star in action throughout the season.
KAI DON’T KNOW
Bayer Leverkusen manager Peter Bosz has broken his silence on the future of his star player Kai Havertz.
The German playmaker has been strongly linked with a move to Chelsea.
And on the subject, Bosz admitted: “Yes, I know what he wants to do.
“But of course I’m not going to give it away, it’s up to him.
“Perhaps the crucial call will come today, maybe next week, maybe not at all.”
OUT FOR THE COUT
Arsenal could sign Philippe Coutinho from Barcelona for just £9million this summer… if they let Matteo Guendouzi go the other way.
The Independent report that the LaLiga giants are desperate to shift the former Liverpool playmaker, while acquiring hothead Guendouzi in the process.
Barca aren’t the only club interested in the Frenchman, however, with Juventus also said to be considering a bid.
CAL IT QUITS
Manchester United are interested in a shock move for Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi, according to reports.
The Manchester Evening News claim that boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a big fan of the 19-year-old.
The England international has struggled for game time of late with the Blues, following a long-term injury.
But he will be difficult to prise away from Stamford Bridge nonetheless, with Frank Lampard a fan of the talented forward player.
JUST DOU IT
Arsenal are interested in signing Abdoulaye Doucoure, according to reports.
The Watford midfielder was unable to prevent the Hornets’ recent relegation, but has been an impressive figure in his four-year spell at Vicarage Road.
The Gunners are hoping to beef up their midfield, with Thomas Partey their No1 target.
But Doucoure could provide a viable alternative to the Ghanaian, although the Mirror claim that Arsenal will have to beat off competition from Everton to secure his signature.
DON’T BE SZO SURE
Chelsea and Arsenal have reportedly been told they can have RB Salzburg star Dominik Szoboszlai for just £26million this summer
The highly-rated Hungary midfielder is set to quit the Austrians on the cheap, according to reports.
Salzburg sporting director Christoph Freund wants to keep Szoboszlaifor one more season – but knows an offer of £26m will convince the Austrians to do business.
And Arsenal chief Stan Kroenke has given the green light to do business.
POWER SERG
Everton have made an £18million bid for Real Madrid full-back Sergio Reguilon, according to reports.
The Toffees are chasing a replacement for Leighton Baines, after the long-serving Goodison hero elected to hang up his boots last week.
And Sky Sports claim that Carlo Ancelotti’s side have moved to the front of the queue for Reguilon, who impressed during a season-long loan at Sevilla in the 2019-20 season.
CHO TIME
Borussia Dortmund have told Manchester United: Pay £108million by August 10 or you won’t get Jadon Sancho.
United chiefs thought they had sealed a £60m fee for the England winger, plus add-ons.
But Dortmund chief Michael Zorc has once again told Red Devils supremos to put up or shut up.
Zorc says the Germans do not want this dragging on over the whole of the transfer window, which opened on Monday July 27.
He claims the transfer is “purely a media topic”.
And he added: “There is no room for negotiation, €120 million is the only acceptable fee. Dortmund start their training camp in Bad Ragaz, Switzerland, on Aug 10, there will be no sale after that date.”
DISA-PIERRE
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang reportedly tried to force through a January move to Chelsea – but it fell through over his huge wage demands.
The Arsenal skipper, set to play against the West Londoners in the FA Cup final later today, is claimed to have wanted out but could not agree terms.
Aubameyang, 31, has a year left of his £200,000-a-week Gunners deal, but wanted out quickly, claim the Mail.
Agents for the Gabonese striker contacted Frank Lampard’s Blues.
And he was said to be keen on the move which would have left Gunners fans fuming.
But Aubameyang is claimed to have asked for a salary which would have made him the highest paid player in the club’s history – which the Blues could not afford.
JUVE GOT TO BE KIDDING
Serie A champions Juventus have won the race to sign Wolves striker Raul Jimenez, according to reports.
The Mexican has been in fine form once again this season, prompting links with Manchester United.
But according to AS, the 29-year-old has decided to join Juventus instead.
BARC TO FRONT
Barcelona are interested in signing Eric Garcia from Manchester City, according to reports.
The 19-year-old has impressed in recent weeks at the Etihad, having broken into Pep Guardiola’s back four.
The Spaniard left La Masia three years ago, but Goal claim that he could make a stunning return to Camp Nou this summer.
