Manchester United have turned to Erling Haaland, the Old Trafford club that favors a pass from the Norwegian forward to Jadon Sancho.
Sancho has been the subject of many hypotheses over the summer, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer making England his number one target.
But Borussia Dortmund have refused to budge on their £ 107 million valuation of Sancho. It has been widely reported that United are still interested in the 20-year-old, now they have turned their attention to one of Sancho’s teammates.
The Mirror claims Manchester United are in a position to break the bank to point to the elite center forward who they think can help them win the Premier League name and Haaland is their favorite target.
United tried to single out Red Bull Salzburg’s Haaland a year ago, and Solskjaer even traveled to Austria to speak with the player. In the end, Haaland aimed at Borussia Dortmund.
Haaland has been in exceptional form since arriving in Germany, reaching the back of the net 33 times in his last 32 appearances for Dortmund to build a reputation as one of Europe’s most sensitive young forwards.
Sancho, on the other hand, has struggled to reflect his impressive form from last season, not scoring once in the 11 Bundesliga appearances he has made this season.
Edinson Cavani’s arrival at Old Trafford on the same day has given Manchester United a genuine number nine, but at 33, the Uruguayan is coming from a long-term solution.
Dean Jones reported in his Inside Football column that United will make a move for Sancho this month with the move window open again.
Jones also claims that a trade from Manchester United to Haaland will prove tricky due to the club’s difficult appointments with Borussia Dortmund and their inconsistent form with Solskjaer leading the way.
Liverpool, on the other hand, have a date with Borussia Dortmund as well as Haaland’s former club Red Bull Salzburg, but at least one of the Reds’ big names is expected to leave to make way for the Norwegian. .
