Transfer news: Premier League Wolves saves Porto Fabio Silva’s 35 million pound club record

Silva, 18, has put the pen on paper on a five-year contract for about 35 million pounds.

The teenager is expected to register for his new teammates next week before the start of the Premier League crusade against Sheffield United on 14 September.

Wolves President Jeff Shi is sure the young man can have an effect on Nuno Espirito Santo’s team, which he is looking to build on last season’s race to the Europa League quarter-finals.

“We’ve been following Fabio’s progression for a long time. He’s a player who wants a few minutes to see his herbal football talent,” Shi told the club’s official website.

“In recent years, Fabio has grown very temporarily and has now shown himself in porto’s first team, which is a leading team.

“Our head coach’s quality requirement is very high, however, he believes Fabio is a vital signing that will help the team this season.

“The timing of this agreement is the time when we bought Ruben Neves; we wait for the right time to get a high-quality disk drive at the right price.”
