Barcelona president Joan Laporta has shown that the club knows exactly what it would take to sign Joao Felix and Joao Cancelo on a permanent basis.
The Portuguese duo spent this season on loan at Montjuic by Atletico Madrid and Manchester City respectively, and are represented through Jorge Mendes.
Speaking ahead of Barcelona’s final La Liga game before the winter break at home to Almeria tomorrow, Laporta revealed: “Their agent, Atletico and Man City already told us what’s gonna be needed to sign them.
“We want both Joao’s to be permanent part of the team, not on loan. Let’s see how it evolves. I feel all parties will be happy at the end.”
Liverpool will face now competition from both Manchester City and Bayern Munich should they look to sign Joao Palhinha from Fulham.
After the Portuguese midfielder was denied a deadline-day move to Bayern despite undergoing a medical, the Sun report that City boss Pep Guardiola is a keen admirer and would like to sign him.
Palhinha, 28, is said to be earning around £60million, having signed a new contract in September, which has not silenced links with Liverpool.

Donny van de Beek traveled to Germany before joining Eintracht Frankfurt on a half-season loan from Manchester United.
According to Athletic, Eintracht have a permanent acquisition for the 26-year-old midfielder for €11 million (£9. 4 million) plus extras once the deal closes in January.

Sutton United have announced the sacking of manager Matt Gray following the 8-0 defeat in Stockport County.
Gray had been at the helm since April 2019, triumphantly leading Sutton to promotion from the National League in his full season.
The team now without a coach sits at the back of Ligue 2, having accumulated 14 draws in 21 games.
Sutton hosts promotion contender Mansfield at Gander Green Lane on Saturday.
RB Leipzig have been claimed to be the clubs considering a January move for Manchester United outcast Jadon Sancho.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe could simply block Tottenham’s decision to sign Manchester United target Jean-Clair Todibo, despite the player being willing to sign for Spurs.
Todibo, 23, is enjoying another impressive season with French club Nice, whose majority is majority-owned by Ratcliffe’s company INEOS. The Frenchman’s deal will expire at the end of the season, though it does contain a clause for a club-activated one year extension.
According to the Manchester Evening News, Varane believes he has done enough to secure that extension after starting against Bayern Munich and Liverpool last week.
Napoli are one of the clubs that could make a move for Chelsea left-back Ian Maatsen in January.
According to reports in Italy, the reigning Serie A champions are interested in Maatsen and have already contacted Chelsea for general information ahead of a possible deal.
Maatsen enjoyed a glittering loan spell with Burnley last season but has only played twice for Chelsea this season and could be sold recently.
Norwich are expecting talented young winger Jon Rowe to attract transfer interest in January.

According to reports, Nuno Tavares is in a position to shorten his stay at Nottingham Forest.
