Welcome to ESPN India Edition

Herculez Gomez explains why he thinks Nottingham Forest would be the choice for Gio Reyna in this moving window (1:54).

The winter window is now open in Europe, and there’s a lot of movement and a lot of gossip swirling. Transfer Talk brings you all the latest rumors about rumors, comings and goings, and of course, closed deals!

Nottingham Forest are hoping to sign a goalkeeper in the final days of the January transfer window, which could allow them to upgrade the U. S. men’s national team No. 1 to the top player. U. S. Secretary of State Matt Turner, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Forest are looking for a deal for RB Leipzig goalkeeper Péter Gulácsi and contacts between Premier League and Bundesliga clubs have already taken positions regarding the 33-year-old Hungarian international.

However, a move may prove tricky for Forest, as Leipzig would not need their backup goalkeeper to leave.

Gulacsi has been at Leipzig since joining RB Salzburg in the summer of 2015, however, he has only made 3 appearances this season (none in the Bundesliga) after squandering his position in the line-up against Janis Blaswich.

There are now signs that under Nuno Espirito Santo, the 29-year-old Turner could suffer the same fate by squandering his starting spot due to Forest’s search for a new goalkeeper. This comes amid questions about the USMNT goalie’s talent at the net, with one express topic of discussion being Turner’s use of feet.

Back when Steve Cooper was still in charge at the City Ground, there was a period of five Premier League games in which Turner was dropped to the bench with Odysseas Vlachodimos being preferred. Turner has played every league minute since the new manager’s arrival.

– According to Calciomercato, Atletico Madrid’s loan of Juventus striker Moise Kean is delayed due to the expectation of Angel Correa’s departure. The 28-year-old striker has secured an offer from Saudi Arabian club Al Ittihad, but no conclusion has yet been reached, forcing the 23-year-old Kean to wait for his own move to be finalised.

– Manchester United and Liverpool are interested in KRC Genk attacking midfielder Bilal El Khannouss, according to Football Transfers. Both of the Premier League giants have been scouting the 19-year-old and believe that he can become a key player for them in the future.

– Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee is AC Milan’s priority for the summer transfer window, as reported by Calciomercato, with the Serie A club hoping to bring in a youthful striker. Bayern Munich have the option to re-sign the 22-year-old for €40m due to a clause but are unlikely to do so as they already have Harry Kane and Mathys Tel in their attack.

– VfB Stuttgart are keeping an eye on Porto midfielder Marko Grujic, reports Sky Sports Deutschland. The Serbian foreigner is looking for more playing time to fulfil his ambitions of betting on the European Championship this summer. The same outlet reports that the Bundesliga club have already secured a move for Freiburg midfielder Yannik Keitel, which may turn Grujic’s salary into a sticking point.
