With just a few days to go until the start of the new Premier League season and Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham and Arsenal are expected to be busy in the summer transfer window before then. The Red Devils are reportedly close to closing deals for Bayern. Munich pair Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui will continue their rebuild this summer, while Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Brighton’s Evan Ferguson are also targeted.

Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah joins from Bournemouth, writes Simon Collings.
The Cherries are looking for a new striker after Dominic Solanke joined Tottenham last week in a deal worth up to £65m.
Nketiah is an option from Bournemouth, although Porto striker Evanilson is another player on the club’s radar.
Arsenal are in a position to sell Nketiah this summer and were in talks with Marseille over a transfer.
However, reports in France imply that Marseille will now sign Lens striker Elye Wahi after failing to reach an agreement with Arsenal to pay Nketiah.

Tottenham have shown that Dane Scarlett has arrived on loan to Oxford.
The 20-year-old has already played for Portsmouth and Ipswich and will spend the season with the Oxford Championship team, who beat Norwich in the first of the season.
Liverpool’s idea Martín Zubimendi had given his word that he would sign for the club this summer.
This is according to the Daily Mail, which reports that Liverpool are expected to sign a new number 6 before the end of the window.
He is unlikely to pursue other goals, while Zubimendi is in a position to sign a new contract at Real Sociedad.

Julián Álvarez has sent a message to Manchester City fans after signing for Atlético de Madrid.
The striker has signed a six-year contract with the Spanish club, following a deal worth around £81 million.

Brentford have closed the signing of Liverpool striker Fabio Carvalho.
The Bees agreed a £27. 5m deal with the Anfield giants at the weekend.
It reports that the package includes a series of easily achievable incentives and a 17. 5% sell-on clause.
However, as part of the £5m deal that brought the Portuguese to Anfield in 2022, the former Fulham club will have to pay 20% of the payment made through the Bees.
