We spoke with Rutgers Wire editor-in-chief Kristian Dyer about the football game between USC and Rutgers last October. The announcement that the match would start on Friday night made national news. Be sure to follow Rutgers Wire for coverage of UK football.

Trojans Wire: Gives a first review of the Rutgers-USC game. What do you like the most?

KD: I need to see the trenches in this case. Everyone wonders if USC can compete in the Big Ten in this regard. I don’t see this as a challenge for USC, to be honest. But I need to see USC face off against an offensive line for Rutgers that’s experienced and veteran. It’s not the most productive of the Big Ten, but it’s a unit that made a big leap together last year.

For USC enthusiasts who don’t know, Rutgers’ offensive line coach is Pat Flaherty. He was the offensive line coach for the New York Giants in their final two Super Bowl seasons. Two decades of NFL experience.
