Qatar Sports Investments (QSI) bought PSG in 2011, radically transforming the club’s position domestically and on stage. After being beaten in a thrilling title run against Montpellier in 2011/12, PSG were French champions in 2012/13.
The good luck is the first of a run of nine titles in 11 seasons, with PSG’s dominance only marked by Monaco and Lille in 2016/17 and 2020/21 respectively.
On the other hand, they were cup specialists before the acquisition of QSI, with a total of 8 French Cups increased to 14 after 2011. Success in these two competitions translated into 11 Champions Trophy victories.
PSG stacked their haul of the now-defunct Coupe de la Ligue, lifting it six times between 2013/14 and 2019/20 for nine overall. They are historically the most successful team in all four domestic competitions.
