Fox’s first football television show of the season on Thursday nights recorded strong audience numbers, which expanded from the same week a year ago.
The game between the Chicago Bears and tampa Bay Buccaneers attracted 14. 71 million viewers (including its simultaneous broadcast on nfl network), 2% more than the 14. 41 million watched the Week Five game on Thursday 2019. Fox also scored 4. 5 in adults. 18-49, above last season’s average of 4. 3.
TNF was by far the most productive television screen measured through Nielsen on Thursday, other systems have remained quite well. ABC’s Celebrity Family Feud (0. 7 among adults over 18 to 49, 4. 92 million viewers), Press Your Luck (0. 5, 3. 23 million) and Match Game (0. 4, 2. 53 million) each slipped a little in the 18-49 demo, but they were pretty solid in viewers in general. CBS Big Brother (1. 0, $3. 99 million) was also tied with his season average.
The newest episodes of Supernatural also got off to a smart start in The CW: its 0. 4 among adults over 18 to 49 and 1. 13 million audiences were the most productive figures for the exhibition since the start of last season.
The NBC comedy Connecting . . . , however, had a pretty sweet start: the remotely filmed series only controlled 0. 3 among adults over 18 to 49 and 1. 67 million viewers, while Seth Meyers’ Special Closer Look special on Thursday had 0. 2 and 1. 43 million viewers.
On cable, news programming dominated the night again with wide margins, with Hannity of Fox News (4. 96 million audiences) and Tucker Carlson Tonight (4. 85 million) leading the way. TBS had an 2. 75 million ratings for its major league playoff game between the New York Yankees and Tampa Bay Rays.
