This creates two number 8s and would allow Chelsea to recycle the ball at the top of the pitch and put opponents under pressure.

The addition of an additional offensive option creates a quartet at the head of the group. In this scenario, one side will push up to raise the width, while the other will face back.
Again, this can be the 3-2-5 in attack, with Fernandez once back as the main option to break out of his deep midfield role and look for an area from which to throw fatal balls.
