PARIS (AP) – Lille remain the only undefeated team in the French league, but now there are two problems to protect champion Paris Saint-Germain after a 1–1 home draw against Lyon at 10 on Sunday.
Jonathan Bamba put Lille ahead in the 21st minute with a good shot, Lyon tied for the 40 when Lille defender Zeki Celik fired a shot from Houssem Aouar towards his own goal.
Lille were unable to take the lead after Marcelo expelled the centre of Lyon at the beginning of the middle of the moment. Goalkeeper Anthony Lopes made some smart stops to add a point to Lyon, sixth place.
Lille, second-placed, has 19 problems in nine games, while PSG climbed to 21 after a 3-0 win in Nantes on Saturday for their seventh consecutive league victory after opening their name defense with two losses.
Earlier on Sunday, Nice continued his form with coach Patrick Vieira with a 3-0 win at Angers to climb to fourth place.
Winger Rony Lopes and midfielder Pierre Lees-Melou scored early in the first half to give Nice control, and replacement Hicham Boudaoui scored in the 76th minute.
But tensions rise over Saint-Etienne coach Claude Puel after a 1-0 home defeat to Montpellier that left him after a series of defeats.
English striker Stephy Mavididi scored Montpellier’s goal in the 13th minute with an end from inside the box.
Monaco’s line of attack clicked on a 4-0 home win over Bordeaux.
Wissam striker Ben Yedder’s penalty put the score 1-0 in the 27th minute, offensive midfielder Gelson Martins jumped in diversity about two minutes later and a goal made the impression on the cards when striker Kevin Volland scored at 30.
Volland controlled a Martins centre in 57th place for Monaco in 8th place.
In Sunday’s matches it was: Nimes 0, Metz 1; Reims 2, Strasbourg 1; and Dijon 0, Lorient 0.
