SEATTLE (KOMO) – The King County District Attorney has charged a University of Washington (UW) football player with two counts of rape after he was arrested in District U on Friday.
According to court documents, 18-year-old Tylin Tamis Rogers, also known as Tybo, was charged with second- and third-degree rape and was given $300,000 bail.
His bail was set at $150,000 for each rape case, according to court documents. He has since posted bail.
According to the documents, the incidents involving Rogers occurred between October and November 2023.
In a statement from a University of Washington spokesperson, the school said it was “aware of the arrest of a football student-athlete by Seattle police. “
It added that “the student-athlete has been suspended from all team activities until further notice. “
Court documents imply that he raped two scholars who did not appear to know each other.
One of the victims was a student at Seattle Central Community College, the other victim was a college student at the University of Washington.
According to the documents, Rogers met the first victim after corresponding with her on Tinder in August 2023.
Rogers met her at her apartment on Oct. 23, ignored her pleas and forced her to perform a sex act for 10 minutes, according to court documents.
Authorities said in court documents that the victim reported the rape on Oct. 28, 2023, and a sexual assault exam at Harborview Medical Center.
After the first documents of the attack were released, Rogers left the victim’s apartment and blocked her on Instagram.
Both victims told police that Rogers did not use a condom during the assaults.

There were also “text messages referencing Rogers and questions about what was happening to him through other people, including Rogers’ father,” according to court documents.
Rogers is scheduled to appear in court on April 18 to be arraigned.
