PSV Eindhoven are in talks with Richard Ledezma over a new contract, and the American foreigner has sparked interest from Liga MX’s Club América, ESPN has been told.
Ledezma’s contract is up at the end of the season with PSV, and a source has told ESPN that the Dutch champions have turned down an enquiry from Club América in this transfer window for his services.
However, Club Americates is returning with a revised offer, a source said.
Ledezma, 24, has been a revelation for the PSV this season on the right. Although the maximum of his career as a central midfielder passed, he appeared prominently on the back of that term for Peter Bosz when they filled the void through the injured Sergiño Dest.
PSV are in a strong position as they continue a back-to-back Eredivisie moment this season. The Eindhoven team leads the league, six problems ahead of Ajax after 17 games.
Ledezma’s sole cap for the USMNT came in Nov. 2020 in a friendly match against Panama. However, he is also eligible for Mexico should he switch allegiances.
