USC’s football program got a new lease of life after landing five defensive clients on Sunday, March 24. The quality of defensive line coach Eric Henderson and secondary coach Doug Belk stood out through their jobs this weekend beyond. The two combined to cause a recruiting gold rush that immediately and dramatically advanced USC’s elegance ratings for 2025 and 2026.

Eric Henderson, in particular, is driving the bus at this time and brought Aaron Donald to USC for a visit. Donald gave a brief testimony about Henderson’s ability to coach and expand players. Defensive line recruits will see that and make USC a destination. It is a massive recruitment tool for Trojans.

All of this will happen before the spring movement window opens on April 16. USC, which landed Bear Alexander in the 2023 spring trade window, has a chance to sign a high-impact defensive lineman for 2024, someone Eric Henderson can take to the next level. USC wants a defensive lineman for this season. If the Trojans manage to draft one of the most productive portal players at this position, their chances of good luck this year will increase dramatically. USC has definitely taken a step forward in its situation. The Spring Portal window is the next check for Eric Henderson and this new training staff.
