Sergino Dest to a Barcelona officer: Ajax has USMNT right-back Sergino Dest to Barcelona, where the player will sign a contract for the 2024–25 season.
Dest, 19, will have a $470 million termination clause in his contract after Barca won a war with Bayern Munich for the Dutchman.

Barcelona says the measure will charge just under $25 million with an additional $6 million imaginable in incentives. The club posted a video of Dest’s first 24 hours at Barca on its website.
Ronald Koeman spoke of the measure on Wednesday, praising Dest and his compatriot Konrad of the Source angels as auspicious for the long-term USMNT.
Dest named Ajax Young Talent of the Year last season and is a member of the 2020 Golden Boy list.
Dest played 90 minutes in 8 of Ajax’s last 10 games at Eredivisie last season and left the bench in his league games this season when the move-in scenario was resolved.
Barca sold Nelson Semedo to the Wolves and used Sergi Roberto as a right-back in his first League game, so Dest will have every opportunity to give him an instant effect on the same field as Lionel Messi, Antoine Griezmann and Gerard Piqué.
