The incident was reported to La Liga right after the match, Real Sociedad said in a statement on Monday.
Valencia has condemned racism, saying the movements of some constitute the club’s values.
“The club is at the government’s disposal for anything they might possibly need,” Valencia said in a statement.
“If the individuals responsible are identified, the club will take appropriate measures, including imposing severe disciplinary action leading to their expulsion from Mestalla.”
In June, the Court of First Instance of Valencia issued the first conviction for racism in a stadium in Spain, following an investigation into racist insults directed at Real Madrid’s Brazilian striker Vinícius Júnior at the Mestalla StadiumArray
Clubs and players have been open about the factor with Vinícius saying in September that Spain will be stripped of their host rights to organize the 2030 World Cup unless significant progress is made to treat racism in the country.
The Spanish Football and LaLiga Federation have taken measures to fight racist abuse with measures that add partial stadium closures, adding in the Mestalla.
The Spanish government joined an investigation after racist insults were allegedly directed towards Barcelona players at Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabéu stadium in October.
