Van de Beek has been absent from Ajax due to ”developments’ amid Man Utd hypothesis – Ten Hag

Ajax head coach Erik ten Hag has shown that Donny van de Beek has been left out of Saturday’s friendly against Eintracht Frankfurt due to “developments” amid ties to Manchester United and Barcelona.

Van de Beek did not play any component in the 2–1 win over Eintracht via Eredivisie Ajax after United became the favourite to point to the star midfielder.

The 23-year-old Dutch foreigner has also been linked to LaLiga Barca and Real Madrid, as well as Tottenham of the Premier League.

Before the game, Ten Hag told Ziggo Sport: “In fact, there are advances that keep him out of the team.

“We’ll see what happens. We’ll make an announcement because there’s some clarity.”

The van de Beek Academy product spent five seasons in the Ajax first team, making almost two hundred appearances in all competitions for the Amsterdam venue.

After Ajax’s victory over the war-won parties of the Bundesliga, Eintracht, Ten Hag added: “The fact that Donny played in one direction.

“The request to let him play came in particular aside.We do this together.

“Agreements have been reached on an imaginable transfer, and if this option arises, it will also have to cooperate.”
