Virgil van Dijk has said Liverpool “should panic” after their loss at the Community Shield, especially after recovering from defeat in last year’s attack by winning the Premier League title.

Arsenal emerged victorious in the empty Wembley on Saturday night, with Mikel Arteta’s men winning 5-4 in the after Jurgen Klopp’s men returned to draw 1–1 in general times.

The cases were pretty much the same as last year’s shooting defeat to Manchester City and Van Dijk helps keep in mind how things have progressed for the team after that opening of the curtain.

“I think his biggest chance was the goal,” the Dutch captain said. ‘It was a clever ending, however, we’ve made it bigger there and we haven’t let it go back on your right foot, but it ended dazzlingly.

“Throughout the game we played, Array dominated, pressed and created many opportunities.

“Obviously, at the end of the day, the consequences are just a lottery and can happen.

“We are disappointed, but we will have to move on. Last year we also lost the consequences and won the league, so we shouldn’t panic, but we clearly sought to win today.

“We had a great chance with Millie, obviously my rejected purpose and some damaging moments, however, if you look at the game as a whole, I think we created a good chance that maybe we’ve done better.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored the winning penalty after an attack that began with Arsenal’s boss making a very good start to the attack.

The January Acquisition, Takumi Minamino, came from the bank to upgrade, with its first purpose at Liverpool crowning a promising role of the Japanese international.

“I think Taki is very good,” Van Dijk told the club’s website. “After the blockade, it was the Taki we all saw when we played against him in Salzburg.

“He’s very, very full of life and he’s a gambler. It’s smart for him to come out of his shell and for us too.”

Liverpool started their defence of the Premier League name at home against championship winner Leeds on 12 September, when Arsenal would announce Fulham at the start of kick-off.

Arteta’s men took part in the subsidized crusade through FA Cup and Community Shield victories in August, with Kieran Tierney excited about the things that are happening.

“Spirit is one of the things in the locker room, trust and spirit and we have that, we build on it,” he said.

“We just have to continue and continue to build in this way.

“It comes from the coach and the staff. It’s a continuation of what we did last season and it encouraged us. When we came back here last week, we moved on.

“We never had too much time, so last season didn’t seem too long.

“By going into games like this, we’re starting to do it more and more and I think that’s what it’s all about, trust and mind.

“Mikel has explained this to us from day one, defensive and transition.

“That’s what we do every single day in training, we watch videos about it. This is not a coincidence or a coincidence. It’s hard work.

“Enthusiasts and deserves to be in the Champions League.

“They deserve to be in the 4 most sensitive and we have to do as productive, as productive as we can and fight in each and every game we play this year.
