You get the feeling that Frank Lampard is satisfied with Thiago Silva’s summer signing. The Brazilian hasn’t been wrong in the last few weeks.
Although Silva is one of the greatest defenders of his generation, skeptics can be forgiven for thinking he may now be a little older to compete in the toughest league on the planet.
Despite an unstable start in West Brom, Silva has established hesit as Chelsea’s ultimate figure. His defensive performances in recent weeks have certainly been convincing.
There was also no replacement in the 4–1 win over Sheffield United over the weekend, in which Silva scored his first goal for Chelsea with a good headbutt.
To the constant hiss, Lampard wasted no time in kissing Silva and congratulating him. Take a look at the video below, right after a few minutes.

Silva is old enough to go to school with Lampard, so you get the feeling that there is a lot of mutual respect between the two football legends.
