Juventus Women were eliminated from the Coppa Italia after suffering a back-to-back defeat to Fiorentina Women in the semi-finals.
It’s the club’s first game since the sacking of coach Joe Montemurro, but his successor, Giuseppe Zappella, had a moment to forget.
The Violas had already won the first leg in Florence by a goal to nil, and managed to seal their position in the final by beating the Bianconere 3-1 in Turin.
They scored twice in the first half, but Asia Bragonzi gave the Old Lady hope with a rambling goal just before the break.
However, Fiorentina scored early in the second half against the defending champions in a 4-1 aggregate result.
