The WASHINGTON NFL team hired former marketing director Terry Bateman in charge Monday to oversee what he called in the press his “name and logo change process.”

Bateman was originally hired through Washington to oversee marketing in 2006. Brian Lafemina briefly resumed advertising operations in 2018, before leaving that same year.

Bateman, recently owned by the club, Daniel Snyder, now earns the official name of Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer.

‘Terry Bateman is a man I trust and have worked with for many years,’ Snyder said in a news release. ‘I can’t think of a better individual to help spearhead this organization’s marketing efforts into this new era.’

After years of promising never to give up the insult established through his team’s dictionary, Snyder recently bowed to the monetary tension of the sponsors and said the franchise would have its old nickname.

“I’m very happy to join the organization at such a critical moment in history,” Bateman said. “I need to thank Dan for giving me the opportunity to come back and bring my experience and experience as we paint to expand a new era for this proud franchise.

Last week, the Washington Post reported that 15 former club workers and two journalists reported being sexually harassed by others running for the team.
