Ending 2023 with a cup defeat to Barnsley and a league defeat to West Ham, we fell to second place in the Premier League U-18 South Section table, with the Hammers occupying the most sensible place. A win at Hotspur Way would send our teenagers back to the sanniest.
And to get the win over an Aston Villa side who beat us by four on the opening day of the season would be a very clear sign of the significant expansion and progression of Stuart Lewis’ side over the months following this defeat in Birmingham.
