Crowds of car enthusiasts, or even those curious about car racing, filled the sidewalks as the event brought together legendary driver David Coulthard and the Oracle Red Bull team to show off their strength and speed in the center of the nation’s capital.
“I can’t deny it, it’s a pleasure,” said Coulthard, who drove Red Bull’s RB7 Formula 1 race car. “I take it as a great duty to come and put on a show. “
Crowds piled up en masse to watch the four-block show. Holding their smartphone cameras aloft, other people tried to capture the powerful car engines roaring down the highway to Washington DC.
