Welsh rugby derbies will take up position this weekend after no other coronavirus tests have been recorded following Jamie Roberts’ contract with Covid-19.
Reports emerged on Tuesday that the foreigner from Wales and the new signing of Dragons Roberts had conducted coronavirus tests.
This led to Dragons players and coaches being informed on Tuesday, and the Welsh Rugby Union confirmed on Thursday that no other positive effects had been recorded to date.
An update published through the WRU indicates that 288 Covid-19 checks were performed this week. Combined with a precedent of 1377, he brought Welsh Rugthrough’s general check program to 1665.
One spokesman said no further evidence had been recorded at this level and that the number of tests to date remains one.
The experienced Roberts centre, which was in control last week, is in a smart way and is now isolating itself. It was not registered in the last circular of the Welsh rugby verification programme.
The WRU says all public aptitude for Wales and the government has been followed.
If more positive evidence had been recorded, the return of PRO14 rugby to Wales would have been called into question.
The Scarlets will receive Cardiff Blues on Saturday, August 22, while the Dragons will face the Ospreys a day later on Sunday.
