West Ham completes Tomas Soucek after Premier League survival caused a permanent 19 million pounds

Czech foreigner Soucek has had a massive impact at the London Stadium since he was on loan in January, and his three goals since the season resumed played a major role in preventing the Hammers from falling.

Staying in the Premier League activated the clause that made West Ham agree to pay Slavia Prague 19.14 million pounds to make the deal permanent if his prestige was secured in the top flight.

Soucek, 25, has signed a contract until 2024 and coach David Moyes believes he can continue to make a big impression in England now that his permanent signing has been confirmed.

Moyes said: “I think he would stay, he was conditioned on us staying in the Premier League and I think we would still be a Premier League club. I never had any wonderful consideration for him.

“The biggest fear of how he would temporarily start and integrate into the Premier League, all the other things similar to him are good.”

”You can score, you can run, you’re a smart footballer, so I think it’s more to see how it would have compatibility.

“I was convinced you’d stay with us, so I’m happy to put that out of our reach, we’re satisfied that you’re a West Ham player for a smart time ahead.

“The most productive thing is that he’s a wonderful boy. He has a very intelligent physical ability, he scored some vital goals for us, he scored against Chelsea, Watford, so he had some vital goals, he may have had more.”

“More importantly, when I arrived in January, we needed another midfielder, someone else to help Declan Rice and Mark Noble and I have to say that Tomas was a very smart selection for them.
