Borussia Dortmund head coach Edin Terzic has already waxed lyrical about Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho amid reports linking him with a return to Signal Iduna Park.

According to a report from Sky Sports, Dortmund are keen to sign the winger again in this month’s transfer window. It is claimed that they will loan him out for the rest of the season.

Sancho was sent off at Old Trafford via manager Erik ten Hag after the England foreigner accused the latter of lying about his absence following the 3-1 defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in September. Ten Hag claimed that Sancho had been left out of the squad due to sub-par levels of functionality in training.

Sancho responded to his coach’s claims in a reaction on social media. He has been named in the squad of the day since his last United appearance on August 26.

As reported by the Manchester Evening News in September, Sancho is set to leave United this month and the club are reportedly keen to heed the offers. The report linking Sancho to a return to Dortmund claims that “initial discussions” have taken place.

Sancho swapped Dortmund for United in July 2021 and returned to England for a whopping £72. 9 million. He scored 12 goals and provided six assists in 82 appearances, struggling for consistency.

At Ortmund he excelled, scoring 50 goals and collecting 64 assists in 137 games. He scored 16 goals and provided 20 assists in his final season (2020/21) in Germany.

So it’s no surprise that Dortmund coach Terzic praised the winger after the German club’s 3-2 win over United in the United in the United in pre-season. By that time, Sancho was already connected with a return.

“Jadon has been doing magic with us long enough to know his quality,” Terzic said. “He’s a fantastic lad but he’s signed to Man United now and we don’t comment on players who are signed to other clubs.

“We were pleased to see him, he pleased to see us and we wish him all the best for next season at Man United. “

Dortmund are currently fifth in the Bundesliga standings and last month were linked with a potential transfer deal with United with Donyell Malen and Sancho. However, the club’s sporting director, Sebastian Kehl, temporarily put an end to those rumours. He said: “At the moment there is no discussion of any trade deal or any interest in a player. “
