The 2019-2020 UEFA Champions League season will end in August from the circular of the 16th, where the festival was held when it was interrupted in March due to the world coronavirus outbreak.
Four final rounds of returns have yet to take place on Friday and Saturday. These 4 matches (Juventus-Lyon; Manchester City-Real Madrid; Bayern Munich v Chelsea; FC Barcelona-Napoli) will be welcomed at the headquarters of the house before the tournament moves to Lisbon, Portugal, where the quarter-finals, semi-final and ultimate will take place.
Atalanta, Atletico Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and RB Leipzig already have for the quarter-finals. Due to the pandemic, the quarter-finals and semi-finals went from two matches to a play-off.
Television rights in the United States for the Champions League replaced the coronavirus pandemic. In July, CBS took over TBS’s television rights. CBS Sports Network will broadcast two 16-year circulars and the Champions League final on August 23. All games will be held on CBS All Access. The rest of the Europa League, UEFA’s club tournament of the moment, will be broadcast in full.
Univision Deportes will provide the Spanish policy of all remaining Champions League matches.
Despite a Premier League season, Liverpool did not qualify for the quarter-finals of this year’s competition.
In fact, last year’s two finalists, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur mentioned above, were eliminated in the eighth round through Atletico Madrid and RB Leipzig, respectively.
Instead, Chelsea and Manchester City will have to bring the English Premier League torch. American Christian Pulisic, who made a remarkable run with Chelsea after the resumption, was eliminated from Saturday’s game against Bayern Munich due to a détente in the hamstring.
Here are the ones who won the “Big 5” European leagues for the 2019–20 season:
Bayern Munich (who also won the DFB-Pokal) and Paris Saint-Germain (who also won the French Cup) can win the continental treble with a UEFA Champions League name after winning their respective national championships and club cups. FC Barcelona, the last club to do so, won La Liga, the Copa del Rey and the UEFA Champions League in 2015. Bayern Munich won the continental hat-highlight in 2013.
