The Europa League will currently feature only one round of play-offs after the organisation phase, with organisations taking part in the draw for the 2023/24 knockout stages.
There are eight play-offs and they will be contested by the eight clubs who finished third in their Champions League group and the eight clubs who finished runners-up in their Europa League group.
Champions League clubs that qualify for the Europa League play-offs feature big names like Galatasaray, Benfica and Feyenoord. They will face the likes of Sporting, while Premier League clubs West Ham and Brighton may also be part of the draw, depending on this week’s results.
The Europa League play-off draw will decide which club will play which, and the 8 winners of those play-offs will advance to the round of 16 draw, where they will register with the 8 winners of the Europa League organisation in the knockout stages.

The draw will take place on Monday, December 18 in Nyon, Switzerland, with the start time below.

The draw for the round of 16 will take place the day after the second leg of the play-offs, on 23 February.
