Sky had already committed to broadcast Chelsea’s clash against Arsenal in its normal time slot of 5:30 p. m. , leaving 8:00 p. m. the only time available for United to appear on television.

It will be the second time this season that the Red Devils have played off-hours on Saturday night, having beaten Burnley 1-0 last month.
