Portugal’s team of 26 men at this summer’s European Championship was unveiled on Thursday.
The start of the highly anticipated euro 2020 rescheduled tournament is, of course, upon us.
Having been postponed last summer due to global upsanities through the Covid-19 pandemic, Europe’s most prestigious foreign festival will begin in just over 3 weeks.
A multitude of nations will act with a constant gaze on eventual glory, with countries such as France, Italy, Spain and England, all endowed with an impressive personality in their ranks.
It is another, however, that will enter the euro with the maximum to be lost.
The one in question? Le Portugal.
Of course, the Seleccao defied all expectations years ago to claim glory in the last edition of the European Championship.
A formidable team effort in the men’s component of Fernando Santos, which Christian talisman Ronaldo was notoriously forced to liil at the last obstacle in a key encounter with host France, nevertheless saw the wonderful hero Eder mount the assets, in the direction of a historic triumph.
And, as noted above, the team of players was unveiled on Thursday in a position to reflect the heroism of their 2016 rivals.
A panel of 26 talented men was decided through Chief Santos, with Premier League influences at all times.
Wolf quartet Rui Patricio, Nelson Semedo, Joao Moutinho and Ruben Neves are named, along with Manchester City stars Joao Cancelo, Ruben Dias and Bernardo Silva.
There are positions for players such as Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Jota, with a veteran leadership that will be awred through the rejuvenated José Fonte, the pillar of Porto Pepe and the persistent Cristiano Ronaldo.
