MANCHESTER, England: Wolverhampton Wanderers broke his club’s record move to point out Portuguese teenager Fabio Silva del Porto, announced the Premier League club on Saturday.

Wolves did not disclose the fees paid by the 18-year-old striker, who signed a five-year contract, but said it’s a club record. Media reports had indicated that prices were approximately 35 million pounds ($46. 50 million).

Silva, a member of the youth formula in Porto and Benfica, made his debut for his home team, Porto, in August 2019, at the age of 17.

The striker scored a goal in 12 Portuguese league games for Porto and spent time last season with his B-team in the division.

Wolves President Jeff Shi said Silva has an herbal skill in a position for Nuno Espirito Santo’s first team.

“We’ve been following the progression of Fabio. Es a player you want for a few minutes to see his herbal football talent. In recent years, Fabio has evolved very temporarily and has now shown himself in Porto’s first team, which is a leading team,” he said on the club’s website.

“Our head coach’s quality requirement is very high, however, he believes Fabio is a vital signing that will help the team this season,” he added.

The last record signing of the wolves to Mexican striker Raúl Jiménez, who joined West Midlands from Benfica for 30 million pounds in 2019.
