You can build a hotel with place to eat in a car park of ”bad quality” in Manchester city centre

A new 229-room hotel and a place to eat in a “poor quality” car park in Manchester city centre may be built.

The proposal will meet a “significant demand” for hotel accommodation in the city, according to developer Wyngrove Ltd.

Plans officially submitted to Manchester City Hall show an 11-story red brick construction bordering Rochdale Road, Dyche Street and Ludgate Street.

He will be surrounded by regeneration spaces under the NOMA, Northern Gateway and New Cross master plans.

Wyngrove Ltd says it is in “advanced conversations” with a hotelier and that additional main points will be provided in due course.

On his website, the developer said: “Manchester’s economic expansion and diversification have noticed that the city has gained popularity in recent years.

“The expansion of the city and its main assets, adding higher education, transport, the cultural sector, leisure, tourism and sport, are creating an important call for hotel accommodation in the city.

“These proposals aim to satisfy this desire by proposing an exciting new progression that adds a 229-bed hotel with a place to eat on the floor of the floor.”

“The land at 25 Rochdale Road is recently used as surface parking, which is poor and lately contributes negatively to the fast area.

If approved, the hotel will be L-shaped with 10 ground level room grounds: restaurant, reception, back of space and service areas.

There will be a parking area on site, however staff and visitors will have access to bike parking and garage services.

Former homeowners had obtained a building permit from Manchester City Council to build a construction of 100 apartments in 2017, but is still underdeveloped.
