Yussuf Poulsen reveled in an “incredible moment” after RB Leipzig entered the Champions League semi-finals.
Tyler Adams’ deviant goal in the 88th minute gave Leipzig a 2–1 win over Atletico Madrid in the quarter-finals on Thursday.
A penalty from Joao Felix had overturned Dani Olmo’s initial attack in Lisbon, but Leipzig, founded 11 years ago, advanced.
Poulsen, who arrived at the club in 2013, very happy with Leipzig’s continued rise, having been fifth in Germany in 2009-10.
“You couldn’t write a bigger story.It’s a huge day and time, we have to enjoy it,” he said, through the club’s website.
“Another attack is imminent. We were the most productive team and we are rightly in the semi-finals.”

Adams discovered the winner in the 88th minute thanks to a massive deflection following an Angelino relay.
Poulsen congratulated Leipzig on his reaction to Joao Felix’s 71st-minute draw for Atletico.
“All the players contributed their game and we did a lot of things perfectly,” he said.
“Joao Felix is a brilliant player, after his goal, we kept our composure and created more occasions.”
RB Leipzig will face Paris Saint-Germain in the semi-finals on Tuesday.
