Juventus’ old foe Zdenek Zeman has once again sparked controversy with his comments following their loss to Next Gen.
The 76-year-old arrives at Pescara for another stay, this time in his Serie C adventure.
As fate would have it, he was once again on the trail of the Old Woman, with Juventus Next Gen competing in the same category.
The young Bianconeri got an important victory by 4 goals to 3, which allowed them to move up the table to 14th place, much to the dismay of the veteran Czech tactician.
Zeman, who once accused Juventus of using performance-enhancing drugs in the 1990s, is back to denounce foul play by the Turin giants.
The former Roma and Lazio coach has hinted that Juventus Next Gen have received planned favours from the referee as the team wishes to avoid relegation.
“I think we played well in the first half, and in the second half as well,” said the Pescara coach in his pre-match interview with Perugia via La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“But then we conceded twice in an offside position and got five yellow cards, so it became difficult to play. Also because Juventus Next Gen will have to be saved. . . ».
Zeman remains a cult figure in the lower leagues of Italian football, especially for his ultra-attacking football.
However, he has had little luck at the top and has only two Serie B medals to prove his long coaching career.
