The news is courtesy of Simon Johnson of Athletic, who says Hakim Ziyech nevertheless deserves to make his competitive debut at Chelsea this weekend.
Ziyech agreed to sign up for the Blues in February, but has been offside since opposing Brighton in the preseason.
Johnson also updated on Ben Chilwell, who left camp in England last week due to an outbreak of injury.
